Oxford Cyber Security Cluster Meeting

We are running the next Oxford Cyber Security Cluster meeting on 22nd March 2018

The next get-together is being held at Blake Morgan’s Seacourt Tower offices on the Botley Road and there should be an interesting discussion around each the topics for the evening, namely:

Crime Update

An update from a cyber specialist from the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit on what they are seeing as the latest threats.

Cyber Security Regulation

There’s also an update on the two pieces of legislation having the greatest impact on the cyber security industry at the moment; GDPR and the NIS Directive. (There might also be mention of Cyber Essentials and the recent changes to the PCI regulations!) What’s that old adage? ‘You wait for ages for one to come along and then they all arrive together!!’

Adoption of good practice on Cyber Security within SMEs

Finally, a session on what’s holding back the wider adoption of good cyber security practice, particularly amongst the SME community.

Register

Whilst the meeting’s aimed more at those directly involved in the sector, anyone is welcome to come along.

Registration starts from 4pm, with the formal part of the meeting starting at 4:30pm and running through to approximately 6:30pm, with a finish time of 7pm. Entry will only be possible if you have pre-booked and have a valid ticket with you – there is limited space so please book early to avoid disappointment. We look forward to seeing you there!
